On our last day, we really didn't have a timetable so we leisurely spent our time packing, eating breakfast, and walking to the bus station. We thought that the bus leaves every hour till the last trip at around 12. So we arrived at the station around 10am and we were told that the bus just left and that the next trip would still be at 12. Oh well, that's life! So to kill time, we walked around town...
We attended a necrological mass at the local church.
Saw this lost boy sitting atop the huge bell.
Saw St. Theodore's Hospital
Finally, it's 12pm and we're leaving!
Goodbye mountains... till we see each other again! =)

Simmering down to the final hours of our itinerary, we proceeded to the Ganduyan Museum.
I've always had a thing for museums and the rich history you could learn from it. I especially love museums with good curators or those which have great stories to tell. And the Ganduyan Museum was the best way to end it all. Upon entering, we were greeted by the owner, Mrs. Christina Aben. The entire collection is owned and maintained by her. She honored us with the rich culture and history of her entire collection. I learned a lot that night.
And although picture taking was not allowed, we managed to get a photo-op with her for posterity's sake. =)

To life and prosperity!
And to my future son who will be nicknamed as GECKO! =P

Down to the final leg of our itinerary, we headed out to Lake Danum to watch the sunset.
Lo and behold the sight that greeted us...

Let's enjoy the spirit of Ub-Ubbo!
Well, I didn't quite succeed in trying out pottery at its rawest form. Too bad we arrived there too late. The shop was already closed. Oh well, we still went around taking a few pictures...

*Note to self: Must go back and try pottery making. Ps. Have someone with you when you go back so you could do it like that in the movie Ghost. (kilig!) =P
This is an electronic pottery making machine-- i'd still prefer the old school where you use your feet to turn it. =P

Of cave connections and porno rock formations =P
We spent around 4 hours spelunking-sliding, twisting, turning, wriggling, swimming, climbing, dancing, laughing... And i'd do it all over again!
deep down the jungle, our tour guide brought us...
armed with a gas lamp and a bottle of gas...
we followed him through and through...
wriggling our way through this.
Oh wow, can the man split or what?! =P
Please take note that the lamp is really hot!
The human ladder/ guide.
Another wriggling moment through the small hole.
cold clear water - had to go through that as well.
then the crossroad - to left or to right?
Then we reached the "dance floor" somewhere between the caves. While our guide was resting, we entertained ourselves shadow-playing. I never knew it could be fun. =))
